Gratitude
One of our favorite travel memories occurred a few years ago when our founder visited remote villages in Kenya.
After she gave the children everything she had carried with her, the children lined up, one-by-one, to shake her hand and say “thank you.”
The children we meet are usually so excited that they immediately begin playing with their new treasures, like kids on Christmas morning. But these children took the time to line up and show their gratitude first.
Changing the world is too big a task for any one organization or individual...but we have learned that we can make a difference, one suitcase and one child at a time.
What are you grateful for?
